As Sunday's final episode of 'Survivor: Cook Islands' ended with Yul Kwon as Sole Survivor, CBS lost no time announcing plans for the fourteenth season of its hit show.

"This time around, we're going to ratchet up the drama with the most realistic game ever," promised Ned Hale, the network's publicist. "'Survivor: Baghdad' is going to blur the lines between reality and entertainment like never before. The stakes will be really high. We think this'll make for great drama."

The 'Survivor' series is no stranger to controversy, considering the just-concluded season started with the four teams segregated by race in what CBS termed "a tribute to our nation's history."

Expanding the concept, the new scenario groups Iraq's Shiites and Sunnis into two main teams and places them in Iraq's capital city. There is talk of including a team of Kurds as well for added interest.

"It's an effort that we've spent months setting up," an entertainment executive told Brainsnap on condition of anonymity. "By watching Survivor, Americans may be able to finally understand the ethnic conflict in Iraq. Reality TV game shows can be great educational vehicles, we think."
